Gini Wijnaldum continued his rich vein of form for the Netherlands on Monday, scoring in their 4-0 win away to Estonia.
The 28-year-old has not only become a key man for Liverpool, but also one of the most influential performers for his country.
There seems to be more attacking intent about Wijnaldum’s international performances, with only 13 goals in 145 appearances for the Reds but the same number in 59 games for the Netherlands.
These Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to praise him, but some were quick to point out the difference between his role for club and country.

Liverpool should really sign Holland's gini wijnaldum

Nothing perplexing about Wijnaldum, won't play like he plays for Holland at Liverpool because of Salah, Mane and slightly due to FBs.

We’ll only see this Holland version of Wijnaldum when he has 2 guys behind him suited to playing deeper like he does for them. We did it when we destroyed Bournemouth & Gini was played ahead of Naby+Fab- Gini was class
Fabinho-Keïta-Gini can tear this league apart if Naby is fit pic.twitter.com/5mHMKjKRkH

Read Liverpool Verdict
Although on the face of it, it does seem bemusing that Wijnaldum is more noticeable for the Netherlands, but his role is so different.
He is given more freedom at international level, whereas for Liverpool, he is an unsung midfielder who knits everything together in subtle fashion.
It highlights Wijnaldum’s talent that he is able to play two such effective roles, proving equally important for the Reds and for his country.
It’s nice to see him earning the plaudits that he doesn’t always receive for Liverpool, though.
