Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti has launched a scathing attacking on the club’s facilities, ahead of their Champions League clash with Liverpool.
The Reds begin their quest for back-to-back European crowns next Tuesday, returning to Stadio San Paolo after their 1-0 defeat there last season.
Ancelotti is not happy with the state of the changing rooms with the game fast approaching, telling the club’s website, via BBC Sport, of his unhappiness:
You can build a house in two months, but they weren’t capable of renovating the dressing rooms.
I have seen the state of the dressing rooms at the San Paolo. There are no words. I accepted the club’s request to play the first two games away from home to allow the work to be finished, as was promised.
Where are we supposed to get changed for the games against Sampdoria and Liverpool? I’m shocked at the incompetence of the people in charge of the work.
How could the region, municipality and commissioners fail to respect the commitments that were made? It smacks of disregard and a lack of a bond with the city’s team. I’m dismayed.
Needless to say, Liverpool supporters have seen the funny side of the situation on Twitter, hoping it gives the Reds an advantage next week.
Getting his excuses in early ahead of playing that Unbearable 6 Times Reds next week 👌🏼

Read Liverpool Verdict
This is hardly ideal preparation for Napoli, who will be concerned as it is, considering the aura Liverpool have steadily created in the last 12 months,
The Reds were woeful when they lost in the group stage early last October, but they have gone up another gear since then.
Any unrest from Napoli can only be a good thing for Jurgen Klopp’s men, as they look to get off to a flier in the defence of their Champions League crown.
It is the toughest match they will encounter in their group – Red Bull Salzburg and Genk are their other opponents – so even a draw would be a good result in Italy.
