Captain Virgil van Dijk and Gini Wijnaldum both featured for the Netherlands in their 4-0 victory over Estonia.

Wijnaldum again scored, proving his effectiveness in a No.10 role, while former Liverpool man Ryan Babel found the net twice.

Dejan Lovren played the full game in Croatia’s 1-1 draw away to Azerbaijan, but they still remain top of their group. The centre-back was partly at fault for the hosts’ equaliser, though.
