Liverpool fans are delighted as Klopp wins Manager of the Month award

Jurgen Klopp has scooped the Premier League Manager of the Month award for August.

The German has masterminded a perfect opening month of the league season, with the Reds winning all four of their games.

A 4-1 home victory against Norwich City got the ball rolling, before Southampton were beaten 2-1 at St Mary’s.

Liverpool then comprehensively saw off Arsenal 3-1 at Anfield, prior to the 3-0 triumph at Burnley in their last outing.

In truth, there really was no other strong candidate for the award, considering Klopp has inspired Liverpool to a 100 percent start to the season.

In the lead-up to the new campaign, there were some who doubted whether the Reds could produce such consistency again in the league, but the early signs are promising.

That is all down to Klopp, who has instilled a winning mentality in his players, no doubt aided further by last season’s Champions League triumph.

Liverpool host Newcastle United on Saturday lunchtime, as they look to make it five wins on the bounce to open their 2019/20 campaign.
