Gary Neville is spot on in his assessment that Roberto Firmino is a world class footballer, with arguably no striker in the world more influential currently.
The Brazilian was exceptional on Saturday in Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Newcastle United, winning the Man of the Match award from the substitutes’ bench and producing an outrageous assist for Mohamed Salah’s goal.
When asked whether or not Firmino was world class during a Twitter Q&A, Neville responded emphatically:

Firmino has spent much of his Liverpool career being underappreciated by those who don’t support the Reds, such is his subtle brilliance.
There does seem to be a growing swell of admiration from the wider footballing public now, however, which is richly deserved.
The Brazilian is a truly brilliant footballer and his importance to this Liverpool side is arguably second to none.
When Firmino isn’t playing, the entire balance of the team is affected, with his creativity, intelligence and selflessness all priceless.
There may be more prolific goalscorers who lead the line across Europe, such as Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane, but none are more influential currently than the 27-year-old.
He is fast becoming a Liverpool legend.
