An Everton scout has had the audacity to claim that Liverpool’s defence is a weakness.
Speaking to Italian radio station Radio Kiss Kiss, via Sport Witness, before the Reds take on Napoli on Tuesday night, Carlo Jacomuzzi was not too complimentary about their back-line:
Liverpool are one of the best teams in Europe, but they are certainly not unbeatable.
The Reds leave a lot to be desired in defence. They have a team devoted to attacking.
Home or away, there isn’t much difference because they always go for victory and try to make a game of it.
These Liverpool supporters have been left baffled by Jacomuzzi’s remarks on Twitter.
Who’s conceded the fewest goals this season in the premier league?

Clearly not a very good scout

Lol the ev again 😂 best defence in Europe last season, best defence in the PL so far this season. Every time one of them open there mouths it makes them look more & more amateur and bitter

Read Liverpool Verdict
It’s times like these when you realise why Everton are struggling so much, given the people they are hiring!
Quite how Liverpool’s defence can be labelled as anything other than superb is beyond comprehension.
Jurgen Klopp’s side conceded the fewest goals (22) in last season’s Premier League and that is also the case after five matches in 2019/20 (four).
Liverpool are occasionally called weak at the back simply because they are outstanding in an attacking sense, which is one of football’s laziest opinions.
As it turns out, they are exceptional in all facets of their play, but then again, you wouldn’t expect to hear anyone linked with Everton admit that.
