Fabinho was comfortably Liverpool’s best player in Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat away to Napoli.
The Brazilian didn’t deserve to be on the losing side, producing an all-conquering midfield display.
He bit into tackles, used the ball intelligently and even showed some attacking thrust, standing out hugely on the night.
These Liverpool supporters, and his wife, appreciated what they saw from Fabinho, taking to Twitter to praise his impact.

Forget about the result and just revel in how good a player Fabinho is. What a superb footballer. I agree with Neville, currently, he's the best around.

Fabinho's performance thus far this half – reading of the game, intelligent interventions, his passing, strength in the duels – has been art.

Read Liverpool Verdict
It feels a long time ago now that Fabinho was struggling to adapt to life at Liverpool, with one performance away to Arsenal last November particularly poor.
He is now one of the first names on Jurgen Klopp’s team-sheet and among the best defensive midfielders in the world, performing to a high level almost every game.
The Brazilian is the best Liverpool have had in that position since Javier Mascherano – if he keeps up his current level for several years, he will become a true Reds great.
His influence is now so big that taking him out of the side would make an enormous difference.
