There was a time when Manchester United’s dominance in English football was tough to take for Liverpool supporters.

They have nosedived since Alex Ferguson exited in 2013, however, with Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at West Ham summing up how mediocre they have become.

On the flip side, Liverpool have become a true powerhouse under Jurgen Klopp, winning the Champions League and staying neck-and-neck with a magnificent Manchester City team.

A new statistic has emerged after the weekend action, showing that the Reds have won 41 of their last 50 league games, compared with just 21 for United.

Unsurprisingly, these Liverpool fans couldn’t get enough of it on Twitter.

It’s a statistic that perfectly sums up how Liverpool and United’s fortunes have changed so drastically in recent years.
While the Reds have a world class manager and many elite players, as well as being run superbly off the pitch, the complete opposite can be said of United.

For Liverpool to have won almost double the amount of league games in the last 50 outings is quite remarkable.

Let’s hope nothing changes for the foreseeable future.
