Liverpool fans react as Klopp and Alisson win FIFA awards

Jurgen Klopp won the Best Men’s Coach award alongside Alisson, who won FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper award on Monday night.

Alisson had a magnificent campaign last season, proving pivotal in Liverpool’s Champions League and Premier League runs, and Brazil’s success at Copa America.

Meanwhile, Klopp won the Reds their sixth European Cup and achieved that remarkable comeback against Lionel Messi’s Barcelona.

These Liverpool supporters reacted to Klopp and Alisson’s respective successes on Twitter.

Klopp is the greatest manager in football history – is that over-reactionary? I think not.

On a serious note, the Geman fully deserved this award. When he joined Liverpool back in October 2015 he famously said, “I will turn the fans from doubters, to believers.”

His quote has come to fruition.

Klopp took the Reds back to the promise land and after landing the Champions League back in June, he wrote himself into the Liverpool history books.

There was lots of debate between who should win the award between Pep Guardiola and Klopp.

It is understandable why people believe Guardiola should win it – after all, he did achieve the first-ever domestic treble and won the Premier League title.

As for Alisson, it only feels like yesterday that Liverpool had a leaky defence, but he has helped change that.

The Brazilian is exactly what you want from your modern day goalkeeper – he has leadership, vision, fantastic distribution and is a quality shot-stopper.

People questioned Alisson’s price tag and now he looks like a bargain.
