The most exciting aspect of Liverpool’s 2-0 win at MK Dons was the performance of Harvey Elliott.
The 16-year-old shone on his Reds debut, showing exactly why he is rated as one of the best English players of his generation.
Elliott joined Liverpool from Fulham in the summer, but the Times‘ Paul Joyce claims the Championship club are “seeking compensation” for him, in the region of £7 million.
He adds that the issue is “likely to be resolved by Professional Football Compensation Committee”, with his report stating that “the compensation process offers some protection to Fulham for an England youth international who cannot sign a professional contract until he turns 17 next April.”
