As excitement grows amongst the Liverpool fan base for a number of reasons, more details have arisen regarding the club’s potential big-money kit deal with Nike.
The Reds are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League with six wins from six, but one of the biggest stories of the season so far have been about the reports of a switch from New Balance to Nike in the summer.
It promises to boost Liverpool’s status as a genuine global heavyweight – as if they aren’t already – and now further information about the actual kits has been leaked.
According to Footy Headlines, ‘everything’ between Nike and Liverpool is agreed and the colour of the 2020-21 third kit will be dark grey.
The specific design is unknown, but the colour is very likely to bring back good memories for many fans from popular kits by Adidas and New Balance in the past.
Footy Headlines add that the new kit is set to be released in September, so we’ll have the eagerly wait until then to find out what is actually in store. Barring any new leaks, of course.
A dark grey shirt would certainly look nice with a golden Premier League badge on it, too…
