Martin Odegaard is coming of age and he would be an exciting signing by Liverpool in the future.
The midfielder burst onto the scene during his early teenage years, with Real Madrid snapping him up at the age of just 16.
Odegaard struggled with the pressure of being a wonderkid at Santiago Bernabeu, though, and there were fears that he would never reach his potential.
He is enjoying an excellent start to the season on loan at Real Sociedad, however, leading to reports linking with a host of clubs.
Liverpool are among those believed to be interested, according to the Metro, as well as rivals Manchester United.
The story does stress that Odegaard is planning on seeing out his two-year loan spell, putting a potential spanner in the works.

Still just 20 years of age, there are definite signs that the Norway international is starting to find his feet in his career.
He is proof that young players shouldn’t be written off prematurely and he could yet become a huge force in the years to come.
Liverpool should be encouraged to make a bid for Odegaard, who would represent a long-term acquisition in creative areas of the pitch.
If he keeps improving at his current rate, Madrid may be reluctant to sell.
