Liverpool continued their winning start in the league by edging past Leicester City 2-1 at Anfield.
Sadio Mane and a last-minute James Milner penalty were the goals scored by the home side, while the Foxes did have their say with a James Maddison equaliser 10 minutes from time.
After a fast start to the game by Jurgen Klopp’s men, Mane and Mohamed Salah had attempts on target that were easily saved by Kasper Schmeichel.
Five minutes before half-time, Milner produced a fantastic ball in behind the Leicester defence for Mane, who ran past Jonny Evans and slotted his effort into the back of the net.
The second half was tight with the away side coming into it with more possession. However, Liverpool had chances on the break to kill the game off, only for the final ball to be imprecise more often than not.
Leicester eventually made them pay with an equaliser in the 80th minute from Maddison, after some good work at the edge of the box by Ayoze Perez.
Drama unfolded in the 93rd minute when Marc Albrighton lost the ball in his box and then brought Mane down to give a penalty away. Milner stepped up to score a nerveless spot-kick to send Anfield into frenzy.
