Real Madrid willing to sell Odegaard – should Liverpool make a move?

Martin Odegaard would be an exciting signing by Liverpool, as he threatens to reach his potential.

According to Calciomercato, Real Madrid are willing to cash in on the midfielder in the near future, potentially even January.

The 20-year-old is currently on a two-year loan spell with Real Sociedad, catching the eye with his performances so far this season.

Despite his talent, Madrid don’t see him as part of their long-term future, which could alert Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal, all of whom have been linked with him.

Odegaard arrived in Spain as a teenage wonderkid four years ago, with some predicting a legendary career for the midfielder.

Having struggled to adapt, the Norway international now looks to be finding his feet, proving influential for Sociedad.

Although there is no guarantee that he will ever reach his vast potential, he is worth taking a punt on.

A hugely gifted footballer with age very much on his side, he would be an exciting addition to Jurgen Klopp’s midfield.

The likes of James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum are all either over or approaching the age of 30, some long-term replacements will be required soon.
