Emre Can was a divisive figure during his time at Liverpool, with some hailing him as a midfield colossus and others claiming he was overrated.
The German chose to leave Anfield for Juventus in the summer 2018, rather than continue to thrive under Jurgen Klopp.
Much like Philippe Coutinho at Barcelona, things haven’t panned out as Can would have hoped post-Liverpool, with a lack of playing time coming his way.
Speaking after Germany’s 2-2 draw with Argentina on Wednesday night, the 25-year-old admitted he is unhappy in Turin currently:
I’m not happy [at Juventus] right now. I don’t play much at the moment.
Last season I played a lot. Especially in important games for Juventus. And I also played well there. I haven’t had a chance this season.
These Liverpool supporters haven’t been showing too much sympathy to Can on Twitter.

In truth, Can was always somewhere in between where most fans rated him.
He was a good midfielder – one who could be exceptional one week and dreadful the next – but never as great or average as some liked to think.
Liverpool haven’t missed him in the slightest, but equally, he could still do a job in their midfield.
It goes to show that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
