Xherdan Shaqiri was Liverpool’s hero at home to Manchester United last season.
Drawing 1-1 at Anfield, the Swiss’ second-half double earned the Reds all three points, ultimately costing Jose Mourinho his job,
Since then, Shaqiri has struggled for playing time, especially with Jurgen Klopp switching from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-3-3 formation.
Thursday sees Shaqiri celebrate his 28th birthday and Liverpool supporters have been sending him their best wishes on Twitter.
These fans urged him to repeat his United heroics from 2018/19 when the Reds visit Old Trafford on October 20th.

Read Liverpool Verdict
It seems highly unlikely that Shaqiri will start the clash with United, assuming Mohamed Salah recovers from an ankle injury.
Even if he doesn’t, Divock Origi would be a more likely replacement, given his influential recent cameos from the substitutes’ bench.
That being said, the birthday boy could be an impact sub at Old Trafford, proving to Klopp that he is worth persevering with.
Some players have a hoodoo over certain teams – let’s hope Shaqiri has exactly that over United.
