Manchester City’s Rodri has hailed Liverpool as the best side in Europe right now.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, the Spanish midfielder had this to say about his club’s title rivals.
But the team to beat is Liverpool now and that has been seen the last two seasons. They are the champions of Europe so everyone wants to beat them, not just us. They’re a great team, they have improved a lot of things, they’re a very good team, and they’re the best team in England and in Europe.
The two sides are right up there with the best on the continent right now, but is City’s summer signing correct in his claim, or is he just playing mind games?

By definition, yes Liverpool are the best team in Europe right now. Having won the Champions League trophy last season, Jurgen Klopp’s men are the team to beat.
Despite their early-season struggles, some may still hold Pep Guardiola’s side to a higher standard after their two title wins.
Away from the Premier League, both Real Madrid and Barcelona have had their problems to deal with of late, despite sitting first and second respectively in La Liga – something that will only strengthen Liverpool’s bid to be the best.
Amid the growing rivalry that is developing between the two sides, it’s great to see that Rodri can appreciate all that the Reds have achieved in recent years.
