Steven Gerrard was recently linked with one day replacing Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United, but he is now being tipped to potentially join Besiktas, too.
The 39-year-old is currently in charge at Rangers, guiding them to the top of the Scottish Premiership.
According to beIN Sports Turkey journalist Mehmet Demirkol, via Sport Witness, who was speaking on TV show Bein Manset, Gerrard is in the mix to be Besiktas’ next boss:
I heard one of the strong candidates, Ahmet Nur Cebi, has a different name in his mind.
Steven Gerrard’s name is being discussed. Also, I know Sergen Yalcin could replace Abdullah Avci if he wins the race.

It is a rumour that has come from nowhere, with Gerrard rarely linked with European jobs so far in his managerial career.
It sounds dependent on the presidential race at the Turkish giants, but it is an intriguing link, nonetheless.
While heading out to Europe could be good experience for Gerrard, he is still best staying put at Rangers for the time being.
The Liverpool legend is still very much learning his trade as a manager and he is in no rush to leave Ibrox.
Many see Gerrard as a possible replacement for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool in the long-term.
