Sadio Mane gave Liverpool an injury scare during Senegal’s 1-1 draw with Brazil, but thankfully, he appears to avoided any serious damage.
Eagle-eyed viewers of the game will have spotted that Mane was hobbling for a few moments after a challenge from Brazil defender Dani Alves and if those viewers were Liverpool fans, their hearts will have been in their mouths.
However, The Express report that Mane has not felt any lasting impacts from the knock he took and as such, he should be fully fit to face Manchester United next Sunday.
Mane played the entire 90 minutes for Senegal against Brazil and it was the Liverpool star who won the penalty that resulted in his side getting their equalising goal on the stroke of halftime.
Liverpool will be relieved to hear that Mane escaped injury ahead of the clash with Man United as there are still doubts about Mohamed Salah’s fitness after he picked up an ankle injury during the win over Leicester last weekend.
