Jurgen Klopp’s man management skills are the driving force behind him being arguably the best manager in the world.
The German is firing on all cylinders currently, thriving as a European champion, and hopefully, soon becoming a Premier League champion.
Liverpool have been transformed by Klopp during his four years on Merseyside, with his down-to-earth personality often seen as his most redeeming feature.
Speaking to LiverpoolFC.com, James Milner has outlined what makes the 52-year-old so special as a manager, saying he will both show his players affection but also give them the hairdryer treatment when it is deserved:
The biggest thing with the manager is that what you see is what you get. He doesn’t have one front for the cameras and then he’s completely different with the players.
He’s honest with the players and he lives every minute of it. He’s on the side and he’s bouncing around, he wants to be out there. That energy’s big for us when we’re down.
He seems to judge it right, when to put an arm round the shoulder after a game. If we haven’t played well or something, he knows what to say at half-time, or if you need a rocket he’ll give you that as well. He seems to judge those situations very well.

Klopp must be a joy to play under and his personality comes through in his players on the pitch.
They play with a happiness and freedom that epitomises their boss, but also an ever-improving ruthlessness.
Klopp’s appointment in 2015 felt significant at the time, but he may even be exceeding expectations now.
He has made Liverpool the envy of most of Europe and will hopefully be at Anfield for many more years to come.
