Loris Karius will return to Liverpool next summer after his loan spell with Besiktas reaches its conclusion.
The German is on a two-year stint in Turkey, having been loaned out after his disastrous performance in the 2018 Champions League final.
There had been rumours that Karius could sign a permanent deal with Besiktas, but that now looks unlikely.
Despite there being talk of a ‘mandatory redemption clause’ in his contract, Besiktas presidential candidate Serdal Adali has rubbished those claims in an interview with Beyaz TV journalist Sercan Dikme, via Sport Witness.
Given Karius’ patchy form for Besiktas, they are unlikely to retain his services, meaning he will now likely go back to Liverpool during pre-season.

Although Karius may hold out hope that he still has a Reds future, that ship has sailed.
He is one of the few Jurgen Klopp signings to have failed at Liverpool and his aforementioned nightmare in Kiev effectively ended his Anfield career.
With Alisson and Adrian now a top class goalkeeping pairing for Klopp to call upon, Karius will surely have to look for a new club next summer.
