Liverpool’s Boxing Day clash with Leicester City has caused plenty of uproar in recent days.
The Reds will play the Foxes at the King Power Stadium at 8pm, causing potential travel mayhem for the travelling supporters.
It is further proof of fans being overlooked in favour of television companies – a sad constant in the modern game.
Someone who doesn’t seem too concerned about the situation is Jason Cundy – a Chelsea fan, conveniently – who took to talkSPORT to air his views, essentially telling Liverpool supporters to get on with it.
Unsurprisingly, these fans have not reacted well to Cundy’s comments, letting their feelings be known on Twitter.
Those “insignificant” fans are the ones who create the atmosphere which has helped make the PL one of the most watchable leagues in the world.

Fans aren't insignificant they are the life blood of football without them football would mean be nothing 😡

Jason is missing a MASSIVE point here. Football games are nothing without actually having fans inside the stadium. You want as many fans as possible to watch a game. Most viewers won't buy into televised games if there are no or few fans

Cundy’s comments are horribly naive, showing how detached he has become from the game.
Football without supporters is nothing, but in his book, away fans should simply deal with it and not go to the game if it’s such an awful situation.
We should never be in the position where individuals are having to make the decision not to go and watch their team play – that’s the point Cundy is completely missing.
