Perhaps the most damaging moment in Liverpool’s history was Steven Gerrard’s infamous slip against Chelsea in 2014, which ultimately played a major part in the Reds missing out of Premier League glory.
It robbed arguably the club’s greatest-ever player of his crowning moment and Liverpool are still taunted about it to this day.
But imagine if we could alter Reds history.
I posted a poll on Twitter asking supporters if they would trade Jurgen Klopp’s time at the club if it meant Liverpool had won the title five years ago.
These fans found it impossible to pick an outcome, admitting it was a horribly difficult decision.
Great poll. I voted No, Klopp has brought years of joy as a supporter and some all-time-great games, hopefully we get a title in the bag as well!

Voted no, because I wouldn't be nearly as invested in #lfc as I am now without Klopp. I buy into him as a human being as much as a brilliant football manager. FSG recruitment never got anything more right. 👍

That season was incredible. I'd take the premier league title at pretty much any price.

No we would have still fallen apart and probably gone another 15 years without a title

Breaks my heart every day that Gerrard doest have a league title. Would swap anything for him to have one

Read Liverpool Verdict
Every Liverpool supporter is absolutely desperate for the Reds to win the league, so erasing Gerrard’s slip from memory, meaning Brendan Rodgers’ side clinched glory, is a logical preference.
But then imagine life without Klopp, with the German taking Liverpool back to the pinnacle of European football, masterminding some all-time great victories and potentially winning the league title himself in the future.
The thought of Gerrard bowing out as a champion is about as heartwarming as it gets, but the idea of no Klopp, and the fact that he could have joined one of the Reds’ rivals instead, is fairly horrific.
