United handed triple injury boost – should Liverpool be concerned?

Manchester United have received a fitness boost ahead of facing Liverpool tomorrow, with David de Gea, Anthony Martial and Aaron Wan-Bissaka all included in their match-day squad.

De Gea was a doubt for the crunch clash after injuring his groin on international duty for Spain, while Martial and Wan-Bissaka have missed the last eight games and three games respectively through injury.

United are in the middle of an injury crisis, and with Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba to miss the Old Trafford match-up, the club will be boosted to have the returning trio among their options.

Liverpool meanwhile will be confident that they can see the hosts off with relative ease, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side having struggled in recent weeks.

Jurgen Klopp will hand late fitness tests to Joel Matip and Mohamed Salah, while Alisson could also make his long awaited return from injury. Other than that though, Klopp has plenty of players to choose from to face the Red Devils.

While Manchester United will feel more confident having the injured trio back in contention, Liverpool realistically shouldn’t be too concerned.

Given the form of the two respective sides, Klopp should be able to steer his side to victory with relative easy, with United having lost to Newcastle in their last Premier League fixture.

With very few injury concerns to consider either, the Reds are in a strong position to compete well tomorrow.
