Nicolas Pepe was a player many Liverpool fans wanted the Reds to sign during the summer transfer window.
Having starred for Lille, he was seen as someone who would add depth to Jurgen Klopp’s attack, potentially becoming a superstar at Anfield.
Arsenal snapped up Pepe instead, however, but he has made a poor start to life in north London.
The Ivorian has managed just one goal in 10 appearances, which was a penalty, and he missed a sitter in Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat at Sheffield United on Monday night.
These Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to express their relief that the Reds ended up not getting Pepe.

Read Liverpool Verdict
It must be stressed that it is still early days with Pepe, but the early signs aren’t promising.
He looks to be struggling with the pace of the Premier League, and more importantly, his end product is horribly lacking.
Let’s not forget that many great players from the past have taken time to settle in England, but early evidence suggests that Klopp was right not to show a serious interest in Pepe.
