Jurgen Klopp has issued an update on Mohamed Salah’s fitness after the winger was substituted late on in Liverpool’s win over Tottenham on Sunday.
Salah was replaced with five minutes of normal time remaining after picking up a knock on his ankle for the second time this month, but according to This Is Anfield, Klopp revealed the injury is nothing to worry about.
It’s the ankle he’s struggled with since the Leicester game. It’s good, but the longer the game goes, he gets tired, then you feel it more when you get a knock. We had options to change, so we did. Nothing serious.

Klopp’s comments about Salah’s fitness will certainly ease any fears that supporters had.
Despite not being at his best against Spurs on Sunday, the Egyptian still produced the match winning moment with a fiercely struck penalty enough to earn the three points for Klopp’s side.
And while Salah’s ankle problem is apparently nothing to worry about, it will be interesting to see whether he starts against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
