Liverpool have confirmed that Sean Cox will be present at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, as the Reds entertain Manchester City.
The lifelong supporter was left with serious injuries back in April 2018, having been attacked by Roma supporters prior to the Champions League semi-final first leg clash on Merseyside.
Cox has slowly been on the mend in the 18 months since and Sunday will be his first game back at Anfield.
These Reds supporters have been left delighted by the news, praising the club for sorting his return.
Great to see 🔴

Read Liverpool Verdict
Sundays’ clash between Liverpool and City is already set to be a memorable spectacle, but Cox’s presence makes it even more special.
His injuries were life threatening at the same time, but he has made admirable progress since the unprovoked attack.
It will be fantastic see him back at Anfield, cheering on Liverpool while surrounded by family members and supporters.
Hopefully, the Reds can deliver a memorable performance and result for him.
