There arguably isn’t a better attacking player in the world in that position, with Alexander-Arnold showcasing his outrageous technical ability, whether it be lethal crosses or inch-perfect long-range passes.

The boyhood Liverpool fan played in midfield for much of his time in the academy, with many tipping him to return to that role in the future.

The Reds youngster is riding on the crest of a wave at the moment, proving to be such a pivotal player for Klopp’s side.

His influence from right-back is a major part of Liverpool’s success – he and fellow full-back Andy Robertson are a truly magnificent pairing.

In some ways, it feels like a waste not playing Alexander-Arnold in midfield, but then again, being a full-back has become fashionable, particularly at Anfield.

Changing a winning formula is uncalled for currently, but he may move further up the pitch in years to come.
