Much has been made of Pep Guardiola’s comments about Sadio Mane, with the Manchester City boss accusing the Liverpool star of being a diver.
Although the Spaniard has backtracked on his comments somewhat, they have still left a bad taste.
They have only added to the tension ahead of a massive Premier League clash on Sunday, with City making the trip to Anfield.
Raheem Sterling hasn’t helped Guardiola’s cause after going to ground very easily on Wednesday night, in City’s 1-1 draw away to Atalanta in the Champions League.
The former Liverpool man took to Twitter to joke about teammate Kyle Walker having to go in goal late on – these Reds supporters were quick to remind him of his antics.
Wasn’t sure if you were in goal with your diving again…

Read Liverpool Verdict
The truth is that neither Mane or Sterling are divers – they will simply go down if they feel contact, even if they can sometimes stay on their feet.
There’s a big difference between that and falling over without being touched, which is blatant cheating.
Mane and Sterling are both sure to be under the microscope at Anfield, in what promises to be a nerve-shredding afternoon on Merseyside.
