Fabinho has been magnificent for Liverpool this season, arguably performing better than any other Reds player.
The Brazilian has mastered the No.6 role in front of the defence, whether it be his reading of the game, bite in the tackle or class in possession.
Such is his importance, Jurgen Klopp rested him against Aston Villa last weekend, in order to avoid the risk of him being suspended for Sunday’s crucial visit of Manchester City.
Remarkably, Fabinho seems to have a detractor in the form of ex-Republic of Ireland defender Kenny Cunningham.
Speaking to Off The Ball, he claimed the 26-year-old has been at fault for goals conceded by Liverpool this season, downplaying his worth to the side.
These Reds supporters were left stunned by Cunningham’s opinion, pulling it apart on Twitter.
This is genuinely one of the worst hot takes I have ever heard in my life. Some achievement.

Somebody get a doctor to Cunningham's gaff immediately. He's in a bad way.
Father Jack talks more sense

So in other words Kenny Cunningham is clueless about football.

This is so idiotic it’s beyond belief, Fabinho has been Liverpool best player this season

Read Liverpool Verdict
While the subjective nature of football is part of what makes it so appealing, this is a genuinely appalling opinion.
Anyone who has watched Fabinho regularly will know how integral he has been for the Reds over the past 12 months.
There may not be a better defensive midfielder in the world currently, summing up his brilliance.
Cunningham can’t be tuning in to Liverpool games too often.
