Manchester City have been handed an injury boost ahead of Sunday’s crunch tie with Liverpool as both David Silva and Rodri have made the trip to Anfield, with the latter confirmed to start.
The pair had both been doubts for City ahead of Sunday’s game, but The Athletic’s Manchester City correspondent Sam Lee has confirmed that both have travelled to Anfield and that Rodri will start.

News of a return for both Silva and Rodri is a big boost for Pep Guardiola, as the pair were both serious doubts for City.
Rodri will start for the first time since picking up an injury against Atalanta in the Champions League last month; a knock which was expected to keep him out for another two or three weeks.
Ederson has not travelled to Anfield however, despite reports of a leaked image suggesting his jersey was in the away dressing room.
