Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson were again superb on Sunday, as Liverpool won 3-1 at home to Manchester City.
Widely regarded as the best full-back pairing in world football currently, they hit top gear in the biggest game of the season so far.
The duo have an excellent relationship, both on and off the pitch, famously locking horns in a goal and assist competition every season.
Robertson brilliantly teed-up Mohamed Salah to make it 2-0, and after the game, he mocked Alexander-Arnold for having produced more assists so far this season:

The 21-year-old responded, however, saying that the competition was a long way from being over:
Come back to me in May 😏 https://t.co/k816tXNuXf

These Liverpool supporters have been loving the ‘spat’ between the teammates on Twitter.

Read Liverpool Verdict
Alexander-Arnold and Robertson are both magnificent footballers and they shouldn’t be taken for granted.
What they are achieving in an attacking sense is remarkable, proving to be two of the Premier League’s most creative players.
They are integral to everything Liverpool do and their ongoing competition can only be healthy, in terms of spurring each other on.
