Manchester City have made a formal complaint to the Premier League about referee Micheal Oliver after the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at the weekend.
Liverpool secured a vital three points by demolishing an injury-hit City side at Anfield on Sunday evening.
However, there was some controversy over the win, with City furious over a handball incident just before Fabinho put the Reds 1-0 up.
