Manchester United are believed to be ‘far ahead’ of others in the race to sign Erling Haaland, according to Dagbladet, via Sport Witness.
The 19-year-old is having a season to remember for Salzburg, as his stock continues to rise.
Incredibly, Haaland has already scored 26 goals in just 18 appearances this season, including one against Liverpool in the Champions League at Anfield.
The Reds have been linked with making a move for the Norwegian striker, but it appears as though United are in pole position.
It is unknown whether or not Haaland could leave in January or next summer, but an exit seems likely in the near future either way.

If Liverpool want to sign Haaland they must stand a good chance of getting their man, given their current status as arguably Europe’s best team.
No concrete interest has been reported yet, though, and it may simply be that Jurgen Klopp doesn’t want him.
United’s Norway connection with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be playing a part – then again, how long is he going to be manager at Old Trafford for?
There is no denying Haaland’s vast potential, so it will be interesting to see how things progress in the coming weeks and months.
