Sander Berge has dropped a major transfer hint, admitting he would like to play at Anfield “as often as possible.”

The Genk midfielder has faced Liverpool twice in the Champions League this season, impressing despite losing on both occasions.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to the Reds, with Jurgen Klopp thought to be impressed after seeing him in action.

Berge has now cranked up talk of a move to Anfield, telling TV2 that he would love to play on Liverpool’s hallowed turf more often:

Playing at Anfield is a dream for everyone in the world, and not least for Norwegians.

Liverpool are the best team [at the moment] and have the most fans. So I could certainly like to play at Anfield as often as possible.

It was clear that Berge was a talented player when the Reds came up against him, despite their dominance over Genk.

His classy, languid style was added to by a strong work ethic, both of which are sure to appeal to Klopp.

Liverpool have lots of options in midfield at the moment, however, so there is no great opportunity to add to it.

At 21, Berge is someone who could be a great asset further down the line, though, so they should consider making a move for him.
