READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT
It is no shock to see Liverpool fans are still angry at Martin Atkinson after a couple of contentious calls from the veteran referee against Liverpool in recent weeks. He opted against giving a foul to Liverpool in the build-up to Manchester United’s goal last month and was on VAR duty as Roberto Firmino was seemingly onside, despite VAR calling it otherwise.
However, Liverpool do not have Atkinson this week and should be expecting to pick up the three points against Palace this weekend. Roy Hodgson’s side are well-drilled and defend deep, which means that Liverpool need to be at their best going forward.
