Kylian Mbappe will join Real Madrid at one stage in his career, according to Monaco’s vice president Vadim Vasilyev.
Vasilyev, who will know Mbappe as well as anyone, believes that it is only a matter of time before the Frenchman links up with Zinedine Zidane in Spain.
Speaking to Le Parisien, he said:
Kylian will join Real Madrid, I do not know when, but it seems inevitable. The club is very important in his life. Madrid had a more interesting offer than PSG in 2017 but he told me he that thought it was too early to leave France, and Paris was his home.
Both Liverpool and Real Madrid have been heavily linked with moves to sign the player, with his future at Paris Saint-Germain unclear.
It was reported that Mbappe is viewed as Liverpool’s ‘ultimate ambition’ in the transfer market going forward.

Completing a deal to sign Mbappe from PSG will be hard enough for Liverpool, but battling Real Madrid for his signature makes it ten times more difficult.
The lure of Real Madrid is a unique one and espically with his fellow countryman Zidane at the helm, Liverpool may be powerless in their pursuit – regardless of how much money they’d be willing to offer.
Madrid may not have been at their very best in recent years, but have still managed to attract some of the world’s best players, such is the history of the club.
