Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move to sign Ben White from Brighton after his impressive form for Leeds United.
It is claimed that a member of the Reds scouting team has been watching him in action this season.
Now, a report from The Athletic has revealed what exactly the club admire about the young defender.
It is stated that he has been ‘reccomended’ as a target to the club by one of their scouts. The report goes on to say that the player’s ariel ability is an initial concern, but they are pleased with ‘the other aspects of his game’.

It’s interesting that Liverpool have earmarked his ariel ability as something to work on, espically when you consider the traditional stereotypes that are thrown at the Championship and the style of football played throughout the division.
However, it’s when you look deeper into the other elements of his game where things start to become very impressive.
As per WhoScored, White has a very credible pass success rate that is close to 86% in the Championship this season. Add to that the fact he is dribbled past on average 0.2 times a game, his defensive record speaks for itself.
White is a true ball-playing defender and his performances at Elland Road are not going unnoticed. At the age of just 22, he is only going to get better as well.
