Georginio Wijnaldum has been ranked 26th in the official Ballon d’Or classification, it has been confirmed.
As reported by Get French Football News, the Liverpool midfielder has discovered his fate as his fellow countryman Virgil van Dijk bids to beat Lionel Messi to the famous award.
Wijnaldum enjoyed a key role in Liverpool’s Champions League success last season and his performances saw him named in the top 30 nominees for the award.

Not only was Wijnaldum catching the eye with Liverpool, but he also impressed for the Netherlands too, who he helped finish second in the inaugural UEFA Nations League.
The 29-year-old has been ever-present once again this season, starting in each of the 14 Premier League games for Liverpool, as the Reds look to go one better and win the title this season.
Klopp’s side are currently eight points clear of Leicester in second and 11 points in front of defending champions Manchester City.
