Brewster set to leave Liverpool on loan in January

Liverpool are willing to let Rhian Brewster leave on loan in January, according to Paul Joyce of the Times.

The 19-year-old has struggled for playing time this season, having been tipped to play a key squad role during the summer.

Brewster’s last appearance came in the Carabao Cup win over Arsenal in October and there is no sign that he will play a prominent first-team role between now and May.

Championship pair Leeds United and Swansea City are both seen as potential options, allowing the striker to feature regularly and continue his recovery from knee and ankle injuries.

A loan move for Brewster makes total sense, benefiting all parties.

He needs more football under his belt and he could be a real asset to a Premier League-chasing club.

Patience is required from Liverpool supporters, especially after such a long injury layoff, but Brewster is a special talent with a big future.

Leeds would arguably be the ideal destination, considering Marcelo Bielsa’s style of play is not dissimilar to Jurgen Klopp’s.
