Liverpool have suffered a potential injury scare, with Harvey Elliott picking up a knock for the Under-23s on Friday.
The young Reds were taking on Tottenham in a Premier League 2 clash, with Elliott named in Neil Critchley’s starting lineup.
His afternoon ended prematurely, however, with the 16-year-old replaced early on in proceedings.
It is too soon to know the severity of the injury, but it could throw Elliott’s involvement in Liverpool’s Carabao Cup quarter-final clash away to Aston Villa in doubt.

Elliott has made an eye-catching start to his Reds career, having arrived from Fulham during the summer.
The forward produced couple of impressive performances for the first team, against MK Dons and Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.
Elliott looks a special young talent with a huge future in the game – it might not be too long until Jurgen Klopp is considering him as a regular in the first team squad.
