Everton are in a precarious position after Wednesday’s 5-2 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool.
The Blues were powerless to do anything about their Merseyside rivals dispatching of them at Anfield, leading to the sacking of Marco Silva.
As another weekend of Premier League action approaches, Everton sit 18th in the table and in the relegation zone.
There is genuine talk of them going down this season, should their results and performances not improve.
Although the idea of Everton being relegated is an entertaining one to many Liverpool supporters, others want them to stay in the division, especially considering the Reds’ record against them.
These fans discussed the pros and cons on Twitter.
Serious question, does anyone really want to see Everton get relegated and miss nights like tonight?? 🤔

I want to see United, City & Everton relegated in that order

Just for one year, then we’ll have them back.

No i think its a real shame that a club like the ev are where they are now. The club needs to pull its finger out spend some dosh and put efc back where it belongs

I genuinely think it would do their fanbase the world of good. They are a midtable club with delusions of grandeur at the moment. It creates a toxic environment every time a manager/player is going through a rough spot.

Read Liverpool Verdict
Given the rivalry between Liverpool and Everton, it is understandable why some will only ever wish bad things on the Blues.
It would be hilarious it they went down to the Championship, especially if the Reds won the Premier League title in the same season.
Then again, the derby is one of the highlights of every season and it would be a shame not to have it to look forward to.
It’s a tricky one.
