Alisson was on top form for Liverpool on Tuesday night, making several important saves in the Reds’ 2-0 win over Salzburg.
The Brazilian can often go through games without having too much to do, such is Liverpool’s dominance, but this was a different story.
Alisson showed exactly why he is regarded by many as the best goalkeeper in the world, as Jurgen Klopp’s side reached the last-16 of the Champions League.
One supporter unearthed an incredible statistic after the match, outlining the vast influence of the 27-year-old in big European games:

Read Liverpool Verdict
While Virgil van Dijk understandably receives endless credit for transforming the Reds’ defence, Alisson has arguably been as important.
He is a colossal presence between the sticks, making so many difficult saves look routine.
Klopp likely wouldn’t swap him for anyone in the world at the moment and he will continue to be key.
Liverpool may have kept winning while Alisson was out injured, but they look so much more secure with him back in the side.
