Everton are still weighing up who their next manager is going to be, following the sacking of Marco Silva.
Duncan Ferguson is currently in charge, but despite an impressive victory over Chelsea last weekend, he is unlikely to be named the Toffees’ permanent boss.
Perhaps the most high-profile name mentioned has been Carlo Ancelotti, with the Italian one of the most successful managers of his generation.
There does appear to be genuine interest in him, which may frustrate Liverpool supporters, given his recent record against the Reds with Napoli.
Liverpool supporters are taking a more laid-back stance on the matter, however, with one brilliant tweet suggesting Ancelotti will turns things around for Everton, when they are in the Championship:
Ancelotti would be an outstanding appointment for Everton in the unlikely event they pull it off.
He’s definitely capable of leading them to the title next season and even if he can’t quite do that you’d still fancy him to take them back up through the play-offs.

Read Liverpool Verdict
Having a laugh at Everton’s expense is always good fun, with the Toffees so often finding themselves at rock bottom.
Ancelotti would likely be a good appointment, in fairness, guiding them clear of danger.
The thought of him managing them in the Championship is quite something, though.
