Liverpool have joined Aston Villa in keeping tabs on impressive young Swansea City goalkeeper Steven Benda.
According to Football Insider, as cited on Birmingham Live, the two Premier League sides are watching his development closely while he is on loan at Swindon Town.
Benda has been impressing in League Two and it appears his form is not going unnoticed.
While no specific teams have been named in the report, it’s claimed his form has attracted the attention of a number of scouts this season.

At 21 years of age, this looks like another smart piece of business from the Reds.

It’s a position that the club traditionally like to have a lot of depth in and if they were to bring in someone like Benda, it could allow some of the academy youngsters to go out on loan and gain valuable experience elsewhere.
A move for Benda may suggest that Caoimhin Kelleher’s long-term or immediate future might lie elsewhere, with the young Irish keeper highly-rated by the Reds.
The recent links to Sam McCallum and Takumi Minamino show that the club are planning for the future and this can only be a good thing with Jurgen Klopp keen to strengthen his squad.
