Bruce Grobbelaar has described Jurgen Klopp as “Shankly reincarnated”, in what is an enormous compliment.
The German is doing a remarkable job as Liverpool manager, inspiring them to Champions League glory last season.
He has transformed the entire club, uniting the supporters, owners and anyone associated with the Reds.
Klopp is a Premier League title away from being a true Liverpool legend, if he isn’t already.
Bill Shankly remains the most iconic boss in Reds history, playing an unrivalled role in the club’s dominance in the 1970s.
Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Watford on Saturday, Grobbelaar told BT Sport that Klopp is the Shankly of this generation:
Jurgen Klopp is Shankly reincarnated in a German body.

Grobbelaar couldn’t be more spot on if he tried, with Klopp so similar in character to Shankly.
The current boss oozes charisma, is a world class manager and understands the city, just like the legendary Scot.
