Brazil legend Tostao believes Flamengo have what it takes to beat Liverpool this weekend.
The Reds face the Brazilian giants in the Club World Cup final on Saturday evening, following their 2-1 win over Monterrey.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will go into the match as favourites, with arguably no club team in the world more feared on current form.
Flamengo will pose a genuine threat, though, and their Copa Libertadores win last month is proof of that.
Speaking to BBC Sport ahead of the game, club legend and ex-Brazil hero Tostao talked up his former team’s chance of victory:
Liverpool are superior to Flamengo but they sometimes win against smaller opposition in England without really dominating them.
Flamengo can square up to Liverpool and beat them. Especially in a single game.

Saturday’s game should make for fascinating viewing, as Liverpool look to win the Club World Cup for the first time.
The Reds should be too good for their opponents, but they will need to improve on Wednesday’s display against Monterrey.
A third trophy in 2019 would be a wonderful achievement by Klopp’s men – adding the Premier League title next May would be the icing on the cake.
