Liverpool have been linked with a move for PSG forward Kylian Mbappe in recent months heading into the next transfer window.
The Reds are reportedly eyeing up the French international, who has scored 18 goals in 19 games for PSG this season.
On Friday morning the club announced that Nat Phillips is due to return from Stuttgart in January, but some Liverpool fans believed they were about to read an announcement of Mbappe.
Twitter: We have reached an agreement with Stuttgart for Nat Phillips to return from his loan spell in January.

After Trent Alexander-Arnold performed Mbappe’s signature celebration against Leicester, you can forgive Liverpool fans being on edge when the club start a Tweet with “We have reached an agreement” and then thinking they have signed Mbappe. It has to be said, though, that there have been no reports to suggest that Liverpool are even close to a deal for the Frenchman.
Mbappe is in the form of his life for PSG and one of the most expensive players of all-time, following his move to the club from Monaco 18 months ago, which means that it would take a huge effort from Liverpool to bring him over to England.
