Liverpool are reportedly stepping up their interest in Lille forward Victor Osimhen ahead of the January transfer window.
According to the Sunday Express, via The BBC, Liverpool are keen on a deal for the striker and are looking to sign him next month.
The report claims that Liverpool are now accelerating their interest, as they look to move in and strike an agreement with Lille ahead of other clubs.

The 20-year-old striker has been in excellent form for Lille this season so it comes as no surprise to see top clubs interested in him. He has scored 13 goals in all competitions, with 10 in 16 league starts, which shows that he knows how to find the back of the net.
Liverpool lack depth at the top end of the pitch, which often leads to Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mo Salah perhaps playing more games and minutes than Jurgen Klopp would ideally like. Bringing in Osimhen, who can also play out wide, would give him an extra option in that front three and allow him to rest some of his stars when needed.
At 20, he also has plenty of potential to grow and progress under Klopp’s coaching. He is seven years younger than Firmino, which means that he could be his natural successor at Anfield in the future.
