A number of Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters are fuming following VAR’s decision to rule out Pedro Neto’s goal on the stroke of half-time.
Jonny Otto’s little toe was adjudged to be offside in the build up to what would have been an equalising goal for Wolves, and the goal was therefore ruled out.
And following the decision, Wolves supporters have expressed their anger with VAR.
Twitter: @TimSpiers Absolutely comical. When is VAR gonna actually work in our favour? Jonny’s fingers are offside????? Bet… https://t.co/kdUXrUqFiD (@GrahamJarman2)
Twitter: @TimSpiers Football is over. How can a gand be offside. Cant VAR understand how they are killing the game (@Ianph61)
Twitter: @TimSpiers It’s Wolves. It’s disallowed by VAR. That’s the law (@MrMussells)
Twitter: @TimSpiers Absolutely ridiculous get rid of it! (@Sarah_Rea1)

READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT
As close as it was, Jonny was marginally offside and the goal was correctly ruled out therefore, under the current laws of the game.
Wolves fans do have a right to be aggrieved about Liverpool’s first goal however, with the ball appearing to strike Virgil van Dijk’s arm before he played the long ball forward.
